Haunting crystal flake

by Sarah   Jan 2, 2007

Every haunting crystal flake
Clears a strangled, tangled mind
Makes your frozen body shake
Helps the heart unwind

Past the light the lantern throws
Shadows calling, crawling past
Glistening snow is all that shows
This solitude wont last

Worthless tears roll down your face
Weighted by demands, plans and hurt
At least your in a quiet place
Snowflakes on your shirt

Thoughts trail to the obvious
Body\'s breaking, shaking cold
Nothing gained by emptiness
Torture to behold
