Confession of a lie

by Veronica   Jan 3, 2007

This is my confession
of how i learned my lesson
about what love takes
and how you were a mistake

I gave you my heart too fast
so you knew it wouldn't last
but it's not my fault
your heart's locked in a vault

so hide your self from the world
somehow your words were curled
lies were all I seemed to hear
when you whispered in my ear

lies telling of devotion and love
saying I was sent from above
I lapped it up, and soaked it in
but there was no way i could win

So end my little tale
of the heartbreak known as male
how they rip your heart apart
so it's better not to start

In a game we call love
its the destination we dream of
sometimes you get knocked down
but your feet will find ground
