As the time of day passes the footprints in the sand are washed away,
All evidence is gone yet those memories will always live on.
You left your footprints in my heart As time went on we grew apart,
I had not seen you in ages it seemed like forever.
And now its all lost I will only see you in photographs upon my shelf,
I missed your warming smile and the touch of your hand upon my face.
And the way that you told me everything would be ok
I wish you were here for me now but I guess that its to late.
If I could bring you back for just one day with no worries about your life,
I would do it no questions asked just to see you smile once more.
All the family here once more spending time together,
Even though your gone your memories will live on forever.
I will always have a place for you deep inside my heart,
Even though your gone I no we will never truly be apart.
