Death's Embrace

by Paige Whalen   Jan 5, 2007

Death will come
Slowly it will haunt
As I know my life is done
The light looks gaunt

They are staring to fade
These memories of mine
They disappear as I bade farewell
The light will no longer shine

As I scream for life
Death laughs at my miserable body
Touching me with a cold knife
Encasing all the pain I embody

I cry and whisper to the air
" Kill me now, so the pain will end "
Death ensnares my soul
A cold hand it extends

I feel like I'm flying
Then I'm falling and falling
I crash into a sea of tears undying
The sea forestalling

Death has claimed me at the last
