Teenage years

by mary   Jan 6, 2007

All of our secrets
And all of our lies
And all of our tears
That flow from our eyes

And as the whole world
Weighs down on our shoulders
We feel we must stay strong
For all of the others

And all of the others
Keep telling us to hold on
That we'll all make it together
And our lives will go on

And were all walking through our most dreadful dreams
And we're all together on this one broken street
Where nothing at all is at it seems
With an uncanny audience at our feet

And their all holding us back
From our much greater dreams
And this is where all of us lack
Enough alacrity to run and scream

These are the years that begin our lives
These are the years you sit by your window and pere
Out to those empty blue skies
And all of this weight and all of these dreams and all of our tears
Is what makes up our teenage years
