The Shoes

by Jessica   Jan 6, 2007

Thump, thump, thump
Go the soles of the shoe
Walking, never stopping
The owner of these shoes
Old and Frail
He shoes walked thick and thin
Painful and joyful

Almost at the end...the end
He can sense it
Feel it
And see
There it is

In those latest moment
He takes his last breath
Speak his last words
â??They shoe have been good to me
We have seen thicken and thin
They where there for my first breath and my last
I would not trade them for anythingâ??
And with the old man lies down and die
