Bathroom Stall Graffiti

by Fall X Child   Jan 7, 2007

Hey there, my everything,
Once again you've stopped my breathing.
I should probably be dead by now,
From all the times you've stopped my heart from beating.

I remember how your eyes would shine like emeralds in the dark,
When we'd lie on the bedroom floor.
You'd keep me up till 4 like always,
Arguing over who loves who more.

No one has ever made cry so hard before,
Yet no one can make me smile as much.
No one can make me fall to pieces,
With a single, gentle touch.

You've made me realize that I hate sleeping alone,
You make me forget all my mistakes from the past.
Your smile insists that everything is okay,
You're so pretty when you laugh.

You tell me that I am your world,
Our world is no one else but us.
If you are all I ever have in my life,
It would be more than enough.

Since you walked in on me & changed everything,
I just haven't been the same.
I notice that you're all I think about,
I notice the curves of the letters in your name.

I'm sick of hiding "us" from the world,
I'm sick of secretly waiting for the phone to ring.
We can"t stop our clandestine ways,
So I"ll do the next best thing.

Right next to the gang signs & the "so & so was here,"
I'll write your name next to mine.
After them I'll put "forever,"
In between them, I'll put a plus sign.

Next, I'll write it on the bench & on the wall,
No place will go unmarked, not one.
I'd say I'd carve it in my heart,
But it's already been done.

This will be my pathetic attempt,
To show you that you mean everything to me.
A lifetime of words I've wanted to say,
Summed up in the bathroom stall graffiti.
