Beautiful Misery

by Fall X Child   Apr 5, 2007

There they go again,
They do it every single time.
They could pierce into my soul,
They could penetrate my mind.

They observe the world & everything in it,
Such a brilliant shade of green.
I could sail away in them,
Those tiny, little seas.

When the sun shines on them,
They brighten along with her smile.
I fall in love with her again,
We could go for miles.

When there is a storm,
The salt water overflows onto the beach.
And my heart breaks into pieces,
While the tears drip down her cheeks.

Those eyes have seen so much in 18 years,
They always seem to be begging for help.
I wish I could take all the pain from her,
And keep it for myself.

They watch every move I make,
I try so hard to keep them dry.
I don’t want it to be rough at sea,
I hate so much to see her cry.

She closes them slowly,
I stroke her hair as she falls asleep.
The sun sets on those emerald seas,
Goodnight, my beautiful misery.
