Carpe Diem

by Doug   Mar 29, 2004

The sun is setting in the summer sky,
As the two of us ponder our futures.
Laying next to each other,
Wondering if our love will last forever.

Fears of losing each other set in,
And they tear away at our hearts.
But why do we worry so much,
If we know we love each other so.

I turn my head and our eyes meet.
You’ve never lost that sparkle in your eye.
You smile brightens up my darkest days,
And your voice seems to always sing a sweet eternal melody.

I tell you I love you everyday,
You are my world, my everything.
Every moment spent with you,
Will be a moment I’ll cherish forever.

The stars now twinkle in the night sky,
And the two of us are still together.
Loving each other with no doubts at all.
Another end to another precious day…Carpe Diem.
