Love was meant to be a memory

by Hannah Emellia   Jan 9, 2007

Your arms around me, a love so true,
I'd be nothing- if not for you,
We've loved each other through it all,
So high on passion - We'll never fall.

Two souls; lost in this dream,
They'll never notice; Love's hidden scheme
Let them fall in love, then break one's heart,
And let these sad souls- fall slowly apart.

Your hand in mine, we'll be together,
Through this dark and stormy weather,
We'll get through these cold, dark nights,
Through the tears, through the fights.

Love was with you then and now,
You've made it through these hardships somehow,
Forever isn't meant to last,
One day this love will be the past.

Even then we will remember,
This love that bloomed in late December,
These memories; they'll never fade,
Like ashes lost in time, forever in the shade.

Let me be the first to say I think it's a brilliant piece of work!
I enjoyed the read tremendously and I think no critic. is needed.
