A widows duty

by kiara   Jan 9, 2007

Im crying out with blood filled words
Hoping for them to be carried by the birds
To the heavens up above
To give the gods a little shove

Because here there is fire
Which burns away the voices of the choir

Here there is war
Which leaves widows crying on the floor
And children being haunted by echoes of soldiers screams

And here there are broken dreams
But here there is also on thing I love
The one thing that flew with the birds above
You couldnt spare one thread of joy
Is my life to the gods, just a toy
Gets thrown around, and forgotten about
Left in the rain, and cant even shout

What would you do if your toy decided to depart?
Would you find another meaningless heart?

So please hear me now
For this will be my most solemn vow
Never again shall I fall for your tricks
For love and war is a heartbreaking mix
Especially when this widow has lost
A solider, a friend a husband to your frost

Why god, do you brake your toys?
Why do you insist on taking away the last of lifes joys?
Here your men battle
And you toss them out of your mind like a rattle
Here the choir sing of beauty
But you allow the fire to devour their duty
To bring hope to the land
Why wont you help your creation stand?

Well god I have taken it to be my duty
To find and restore beauty

*plz comment i really want to here what you think i always return the favour*
