Four Lettered Lie

by marcelah   Jan 9, 2007

Why can't I face the fact?
You're never calling back.
You're gone, you're not coming.
I miss you, and you're not caring.

I can't stand the silence
And this doesn't make any sense
You told me you loved me.
You're the best liar I know.

I was the only fool
I stupidly believed in you.
How could you, and to me?
You scarred my insecurity.

You're not gonna say sorry
I'm not gonna know why.
It's too late, nothing I can do.
My only mistake was caring for you.

Still... I long for you...
I wonder if we could be true.
Sometimes I hope it isn't too late
But this is my sad fate.

I hope you still care
Please lie to me, one more time.
& tell me you'll be there.
Just one more time... for me?

This was an okay poem. I liked it though. It seemed simple and lacking in something. 4/5

Its painfully funny how everything but the heart knows its over but it refuses to let go. This poem is amazing the last stanza shows a lot of hope i loved it :))
