Screw You

by caro   Jan 10, 2007

I can't believe you.
How could you say that?
We're over.
Our love was complicated;
That's why it ended.
But I didn't expect friendship to be the same.

You said when you left
That you would stay in touch.
But no one ever hears from you.
It's like you dropped off the face of the planet.

But to hear that it's me,
Only me that you ignore,
And just because of your ego.
I let go long ago,
But you don't seem able
To get over me getting over you.

I just want to be your friend,
But you're making it so difficult.
And at times I hate you
Because you are so full of yourself.
And it's tough knowing
That you really used to care.

You helped me through confusion,
You helped me through depression,
You helped me through love,
You helped me through hate,
You helped me learn to love life.

But now I just want to forget.
Forget your face,
Forget your name,
Forget your voice,
Forget your wisdom,
Forget your help.

Because really,
You've pushed me in a circle.
I'm right back where I was before you.
And I hate you for it.
