Amber eyes

by kiara   Jan 10, 2007

A misty veil gives the world a disguise
Only those with amber eyes
Can see through the veil
Without fail
Those with amber eyes
Can see through all your lies
They can see the person you want to be
Even if its something impossible, like the sea
They laugh at the worlds silly masks
But never at your stupid tasks
Their duty is to set you free
From bowing to society on your knee
Everyone has their own style
Which upon their lips brings a smile
But pretending always brought a frown
Which puts a black stain on your souls gown
If you lay awake at night
You may see the veil and amber eyes fight
The veil fights with shadows and pain
And the eyes fight with their tears falling like rain
Their tears burn with the glow of fire
Wishing upon all hopes and desire
To slay the evil which started this
The evil in which no one knows exists
But listen well, for this is for all to hear
How many people have a fear
To show society who they really are
Whether it’s a falling star
Whos afraid to show their tears?
An emotion a mile away from a thousand cheers
Whos afraid to cry when someone dies?
Because you cant hide your emotions from amber eyes
