Butterflies

by Veronica   Jan 10, 2007

Butterflies are said to be
graceful in the wind
yet here they sit on Styrofoam
to back boards they are pinned

We capture these majestic bugs
in frames or deep inside
when you get them no one knows
they find a way to hide

This feeling you get when they find you
it is very hard to describe
you just know when it hits you
It's like the perfect vibe

You get it in your stomach's pit
It's something you can't ignore
their there inside fluttering away
you feel it in your core

butterflies mean so much to us
and yet we set them free
for people to find and frame in glass
and view for a small fee

I love the way you use nature (the butterflies) to like express the sense of freedom yet the catch of the trap.
