Another Girl

by Audrie   Jan 11, 2007

A single teardrop
Those deep brown eyes
The tensed smile
That tells nothing but lies.

Her hand holds steady
As the rest of her shakes
He walks away slowly
Leaving her heart to break

I should have known
When he never called
That I should've once again
Built up my walls

Another girl it is
He wished to see
Yet again, all long
It never was me.

AS he starts up that truck
And slams shut the door
The tears start falling
Aching more and more

Never again
Will I open that gate
To my heart and my soul
There's too many chances with fate.
