Running

by Purple   Jan 11, 2007

My hairs out of luck
I see through the strands
As they jump out of place
I forgot their bands

I forgot them again
In my backpack once more
I'm heating up now
And my legs are getting sore

I didn't train at home
And I can feel it now
I was lazy and unmotivated
I lost my old power

I'm miserable and hot
But I'm happy to be here
Running with these strangers
Fills me with cheer

I like running in circles
Long or short lines
A simple release
From bad or sad times

If I can remember the ties
That keeps my hair back
Then I could stay cooler
Circling the track

I'll come home tired
With sweaty hair in my eyes
But it was worth it
No way I could deny
