Naked

by Landi Cordier   Jan 12, 2007

Naked

I could never be
what you want to see
Cause the truest part
was always deep inside of me

Hidden way too deep
for anyone to see
Too deep for anyone to see

You came with your
sweet, piercing eyes
Seeing right through me
right through my disguise

Why did I have to
go and fall apart like that?
You saw me,
alone
there, in misery, where I sat
falling away, piece by piece.
How could it be
that I let you see me,
the true part of me
the real part of me

The part I had hidden away
So efficiently
The part I was so
sure, no one could
ever
ever see

I was confused
I always felt so used
But you suddenly, secretly
Made me feel
Feelings I thought were
Never meant to be real

I feel naked
Oh, so naked
It feels so good
So real
I could hardly face it
Take it.

The bars have been pried
Like a little bird, I am free
And I had hoped
That you would come and
Stay with me

For it was you who
Had brought out the best of me
For it was you who
Had set me free

Hi, this was written by a friend of mine, Jenny, shed love to know what you thought of it!
