The Devils Eyes of Depression

You will see it in the shadows,
Of mornings early light,
But when it creeps up on you,
You wont be ready to fight,

Around the corners of every edge,
There it stands just waiting to torment its prey,
When you feel it consume your body,
You will be carrying the heaviness it weighs,

You will feel it as it roams you body,
How it sucks the life out of ones soul,
No more happiness, no more faith,
Never again will you sense what it stole,

Like a candle that has burned out,
You totally loose hope and grace,
Longing only for the warmth and comfort,
Of a strong and emotional embrace,

When you loose it all,
And you find nothing more to put into session,
Only then can you feel,
The devils eyes of depression

    This poem was amazing. The phrases you use and the whole emotion is just wow. That stanza is my fave.
