Off In The Distance

Things are not the same/
Every thing has changed/
Last time I was here, last year it was so different/
The people have all gone/
Some stayed but there not the ones/
The ones I knew closest that really made a difference/
Now only one true friend remains but is off in the distance/
Now I’m trying to choose/
I just don’t know what to do/

Hoping and thinking/
About the decision I need to make but I’m resisting/
Cause she’s all I have/
And if I go back/
I have a lot of friends but none with the love that compares to what she has/
But then again/
Is only one friend/?
Better than many, it seems like it, should I choose many over a best friend/
Tell me what should I do/
Should I hold on to you/?
If only I could really ask you what to do/
But your not here/
You’re off in the distance/
It’s been a tough year, and now I’m here, but you isn’t/
Should I just go, pack and leave, and never look back/
I don’t know, I’m so lost, and I wish you could see that/
But you can’t because you’re still off in the distance/

Confusing poem I know, it’s talking about me wondering if I should move back to where I was living before, cause where I’m at now people are back stabbers and all that other stuff. And where I was people are really my friends. But where I’m at now I have one true friend, who understands me better than any one I know, and is the reason I stay where I’m at now because she makes me so happy, but she’s been gone a lot lately with her man, and I fell in love with her, and that’s what I mean by she’s off in the distance, she’s off with another guy and I don’t know how to get her back, but I’m hoping I can. If not, than I might as well just leave, cause she don’t look at me the way she use to.
