You Saved Me

You Saved Me
~

Long ago, I still remember
The night I almost died
You saved me, that December
From the brink of suicide

Looking back at that sweet memory
How I thought nobody cared
It felt like a silent melody
You said you'd always be there

I was broken and hurting
My heart wasn't open for healing
You stepped in when others walked out
To this day, I never can doubt

The feeling when you say hello
Magic sparks a light in my fingers
After you say goodbye...
That feeling seems to linger

How on earth can I thank you
For that one act of kindness
Which changed my life in a blink
Because of your timing?

Through every beat,
I reminisce for one lasting moment,
Your love's so sweet
No one else can condone it

I wish so much that I will never
Lose that memory, ever
We've been through everything, thick and thin
I'm glad I finally let you in

You saved me from a foolish choice
Talked me out with your sweet voice
I'm glad that you're still here
To wipe any stray tears

Wow, I really liked this. It flowed very well, and the emotion was very evident, great work.
