In Times of War

by Jamie   Jan 14, 2007

In the dawn: prestigious light;
underneath, the children fight;
for food, for drink, and for love;
and for the answers up above.
Their frightened eyes have seen too much;
a hug they lack to learn by touch;
and guns are common, though it's sad;
the country knows the war is bad.
