Post-it Note

by Taylor   Jan 15, 2007

I'm picturing this yellow post-it note,
that grasps the stem of the rose.
Though thorned, and mistakenly beautiful,
it's the words you write, my fascination grows.

Dwindling, drifting across a wooden tabletop,
fingering lazily, hazily, the long-worn surface..

With the slip of a pen, the trails of ink fall,
grazing curiously along, in a distinct notion.
A half-smitten subject to my curious imagination,
you've won me over with a worded love-potion.

I really liked your poem and the words were well placed and well put. I look forward to reading more of your works this year, both new ones and ones you already have listed on the site… Keep up the good writes.
