Markie and Jerry

Jerry had a friend
Markie was his name
they always had good times together
always had time to play

but one day Markie grew up
and jerry stayed the same
then jerry had no one left
so by himself he played

he had looked up to Markie
so he started to act the same
and Markie took him back
and they played a brand new game

he called it getting high
and jerry wanted to try
so he watched Markie and repeated
enjoying his time, not knowing he was being cheated

cheated out of life
out of his childhood
playing this game with Markie
was something he misunderstood

Markie moved on
to an even better crowd
so jerry continued to act like him
and Markie seemed so proud

they played a new game now
the choking game its called
and as Markie began to play
jerry always followed

so one day in jerry's home
he wanted to improve
to show Markie he could be like him
he increased the altitude

one step too high he would surely die
but then the phone did ring
Markie's parents had some bad news
there would be no more playing
