Never said goodbye

All the days we spent,
all the tears we cried,
all the pain we've felt,
and all the memories we have made.
I must now let it all go,
as i watch you walking out the door,
my mind captures that exact moment,
to forever keep that memory,
the tears begin to fall as the door finally closes,
finally he is gone for good.
and I'm left here alone,
no sound is made,only the echo from the beating of my broken heart.
so as i lay down to sleep,
I pray that when i awake,
he will be here beside me and had never said goodbye.
