Swear it on our friendship

by MCR_groupie   Jan 16, 2007

You tell me that I'm stupid
You tell me I'm not fat
You say that it will hurt me
Why wouldn't I know that?

I know that it could hurt me
I want to take that chance
What on Earth is better
Than buying smaller pants

I'm sick of being lonely
So I purge to be happy
And I'm really sorry Cooper
But your sympathy is sappy

I don't know why I told you
Why are you getting mad?
I hate to see you like this
It really makes me sad

How about I change the subject
WHy won't you speak, dear friend?
Oh why am I so stupid?
Will our friendship ever mend?

I ponder on this question
The silence, it gets broken
I look deeply in your eyes
My instructions, are then spoken

"Never dp it again"
He says without a smile
I pause for a few moments
My emotions run me wild

"Swear it on our friendship
God help you if you lie"
Me, destroy our friendship?
I think I'd rather die.

Wow. pretty powerful if u ask me man. :) I have nothing to add. you've written two poems and they're both a hundred times better then my first poems ha!

only thing id say now is to start experimenting :D try different rhyming schemes :) example

    the kitten pounced
    the ball then bounced
    running away
    from where it just lay.

lol terrible poem! but u get wat i mean? There are endless possibilities babe!!! good luck and keep writing! ur doing AWESOME :D

Nice poem. you can really be drawn in to the poem. However, i would say that the strict rhyming didnt work in a couple of lines. But it does work overall, Good poem.
