Shores

by brieana   Jan 17, 2007

I'm one inch away
I'm closing my eyes
This is no place for me
For my sons or daghters
Since you left my warm embrace
I\'ve cried inside
You\'ve shown me continents
I\'ve seen the islands
It feels as though it\'s been centuries
I blink my eyes
Hooks and splinters
Swm through my waters
Children are floating
And brush on shore
I see your body
My skin turns white
You danced with me
Now your gone
Your skin is sticky
I am blank
Your no longer by my side
Myy children cry
I am empty
Blank
I aplogize
You spoke softly
Your voice
Pure silk
Now, I feel silly
My pupils dialated
I crawl off shore
The air is softly
And I am blank
The stiffness
It controls me
I blink once more
I am gone
Blank
