Teenagers

When I was younger
I always wanted to be that big teenager.
Being able to pick out your own outfit,
Getting that cell phone, or even a pager.

I always thought bigger was better,
Now I realize I was wrong.
Because this isn't so great,
I can no longer stay strong.

There's too much drama,
That lends to depression or pain.
The rumors get started?
And it's hard to stay sane.

If I had the choice,
I'd still be that little kid.
Wouldn't you too?!
Because nothing makes sense like it did.

You were friends with everyone,
There wasn't a single click.
Nobody had to be perfect,
And now it all just makes me sick.

With all the rude peoplem,
The world has gone bad.
Why can't we all get along,
Even just a tad.

So inform all kids,
To enjoy the younger days.
Because when they grow up,
It's not all "Yippees" and "Yays."
