My Little Mermaid

I tell you all...I'm fine, I promise, don't worry,
but if you knew all my real feelings you'd want to leave in a hurry,
but this life in time...how can it be,
my soul is like a little mermaid trapped in a gigantic sea,
just because of a few people my life has been turned upside down,
now my little mermaid is gonna drown,
yes...I'm saying it's all your fault,
and just because of you my normal life came to a quick halt,
I hide all of my true feelings...even the ones for you,
all because my little mermaid is lost in the big blue,
you're the only one who can get the truth out of me someday,
though almost every time you try I'm gonna say no way,
but the secret about me is that when you want something found, you must ask me over and over,
since you've stopped asking me I will tell you what you want to know,
but then...only then will I go,
my little mermaid will be washed onto the shore,
she'll be lost at sea no more,
now after I told, I saw my little mermaid...she was lost but now she is found,
she sits by the shore...not making a sound,
my little mermaid however has been lost again,
this time she'll stay lost and will forever sin,
now there's no helping me or my little mermaid,
so I'm sorry to rain on your parade,
I'm still here with you,
but I'm sorry to say that my little mermaid is yet again lost in the big blue.
