My Candle, My Love

by Jason   Jan 18, 2007

A candle is lit
For you it burns
Never to be extinguished
For in my heart it dwells

Brighter than a thousand suns
It cannot compare
For your eyes be brighter still
A sparkle which makes the stars pale

Glowing warmth its gift
Companion for when you are away
Merely a piece of a roaring bonfire
With you I know not cold

Down many roads
Though many hardships
That light has never faltered
Always will it burn with my love for you
