My Great Uncle Stan

by Dannielle   Jan 20, 2007

We lift you up to the heavens,
Angels take your hands,
Forever and always will you be looking down on us,
And our little island,
We'll never forget you,
One amazing man,
Who loved his Phantom comic books,
Working in the shop office,
Always up for a chat,
As a little kid I would run up to the office to say hello
And ask what you were doing.
Sometimes you could be grumpy,
But you never yelled.
Always full of questions you would try to answer them all,
Now you're gone,
And I cant ask you anymore questions.
Palana will always be a special place,
Sun, sand, rocks, water, waves,
And family games of beach cricket.
That shack, is there because for you,
And I hope it will always be there,
To tell my kids about how lucky we are to have a wonderful place to stay that a lot of people dream of all because of you.
My Great Uncle Stan you will always be on my heart
I hope we met again one
