Pain

by Dannielle   Oct 27, 2006

As she watches the shadows on the wall,
She feels a pain in her chest,
Right where her heart sits.
Her phone goes off
It's a message from him.
Him, her boyfriend.
A tear runs down her cheek,
The pain gets sharper,
Like someone pushing a knife in her heart,
She feels this pain a lot.
When he's been mean,
Not being sweet or nice,
Not calling her baby or telling her, he loves her.
The pain goes away when he's nice,
It feels like someone pulling the knife out,
So it doesn't hurt as much.
Tries her best to keep it together,
Would do anything for him,
He's just so cute.
She tries everyday to look pretty for him,
To make him look at her,
Hoping one day he'll realize,
How much she tries,
How much she loves him,
Maybe hoping he'll say,
"I'm so lucky to have you, or "You're so special."
But for now she just keep trying,
Keep waiting,
Keep feeling the knife being pushed in then pulled out.
It'll never be pulled right out.
There will always be pain with in my heart.
