"Childhood"

by ♥ Sonya   Apr 1, 2004

When we were born, we were all hopeless and needed tender cares. Our families all around taking pictures saying “oh how cute.” They were there to watch those first steps we took, those first words we said, the ones that watched us growing up. They are the ones that understand us the most and love us for whom we are today.
When we were little kids, we had no worries in the world. Girls playing with dolls. Boys playing with their trucks, running around the house acting like their favorite super hero. We had big imaginations and never let anyone take it away. Girls thought boys were icky, boys thought girls had cooties.
Then the day comes when each and every one of us had to get on that big yellow bus. Just a little scared thinking will I like it? As we go through school we meet people we like, and become our friends. Others we don't get along with.
As we get, older things seem to change. Friends we once had either moved away or we drifted apart and we went our separate ways. Boys/girls weren't so icky anymore. We found our selves putting those dolls away somewhere. Getting involved with different actives finding out what we like to do, finding out who we are.
We know what the world is like now that we're older it's not just fun and games anymore we go through some hard times. We have more responsibility and decisions. The peer pressure gets. Stronger people begin to stereotype. We sometimes make mistakes in our lives and we find out life isn't as easy as we thought it was when we were little kids.
We look back on our childhood and all the memories we had. What has changed what stayed the same. They're not gone forever there just locked in our hearts to stay forever.
We are reaching the time in our lives where we get to decide what to do, will we go to college? Will we make our dreams come true? Our parents have raised us and now it's our turn we get to see what the real world is like.
