Cold, Mild, Hot or Refreshing

by Jenni   Jan 22, 2007

So I sit here holding a smile,
waiting for you to reconcile.
I cannot seem to understand
Why I am left to reprimand.
There must be some unknown reason
for I am alone this season...
This smile on my face will fade
from all the mistakes that you made.
Why am I standing to debate
everything about you I hate?
These words slip coarsely through my lips
cannot stop them with fingertips.
It's what I have needed to stay
to stop from withering away.

Yet, I've run out of good reasons,
I will blend in with the seasons...

    Hmm...

i find it hard to believe that there was no flow. i thought the flow was just fine!!! i also find a lot that when i think of something to write about the persons poem and then vote on it, i forget what my comment was!!!!
    anyway, great poem.

The rhyming was good but there was no flow at all. after every two lines when it rhymed it would cut off and the nest two lines would be a whole new thought and it didnt fit together. when something rhymes it should flow with the next rhymes. just my thoughts. i thought the words were unique and the message was quite interesting. keep writing
