Shared Memories

by Jess   Jan 22, 2007

From pressure on keys to words flown through space
Conversations my mind can't erase
Letters intricately woven and words put into place
A unique personality revealed at a pace

In my ear, through my brain, and around my soul
A melting effect i cannot control
Through wires, cables, and tiny black holes
An accent from a body I long to hold

Through my eyes, to my nerves, then straight to my heart
A smile so big my lips must part
From lenses to screens with crystal clear starts
A face more beautiful than any work of art

Something pink, a towel, and a sheet full of stains
Noises that create my breathing to strain
A whisper, a detail, cause messy remains
A lined body that pumps the blood through my veins

Cake filled with candles, a wish and a blow
A joy that I could never let go
A poem and a package, containing a gift that will show
A twenty-one year old you'd be lucky to know

Giggles, presents, and a decorated tree
Sweet little kids that put an excitement in me
From sleeping, to waking, to being able to see
A soul loved and adored by its family

Lines, and shapes, and graphically made pens
PIctures portraying our nows and thens
Colors, show details, of a field and an ocean
An artist with talent you couldn't imagine

From cartoons, to animals, in an alphabet
A game with a person I long to have met
Guessing on pictures we can't wait to get
A friend who hasn't disappointed yet

A button, a voice, with siblings and friends
Virtual fun that I don't want to end
Flying with guns, to the beginning you send
A gamer with skill from whom you cannot defend

I'll start then send, so the fun can continue
A play with words that I can share with you
From old ladies, to delis, there's so much we can do
A comical creator revealed when he wants to

Starting from zero, and pausing to sync
A peacefulness that makes me think
Actors with dialogue, a smile and a wink
A companion causes all worries to sink

On a break for a holiday, a visit to home
I discovered a closeness I never had known
From fun to tears, from giggles to moans
A love, a friend, a soulmate was shown
