Your Hazardous Soul

by Jess   Jan 22, 2007

Staring at the empty space
where stars had once shown bright
I keep picturing your perfect face
on this sad and lonely night
deciding which is more important to me
your happiness or mine?
I wish it was easier for you to see
that I'm not always fine

Your words and actions cut deeper
than bruises that can fade away
despite that I will forgive you
because I know it's just a bad day
I cannot forget the worries they create
and the uncertainty that may evolve
was loving me ever in your fate?
but you have destiny issues more important to solve

Of your perfection I am sure
and that no one could ever mean more to me
but what am I trying for?
if you and I were not meant to be
its the chance that keeps me going
the chance that our lives could one day blend
and it is the care and love, you continue showing
that allows my wounds to mend

We both had dreams before we met
now we have obstacles to overcome
and we refuse to let each other forget
those dreams until they are won
yours have altered and mine are daring
but our need for them is still the same
each others dreams we now are sharing
as for our successions, we have each other to blame

So whos happiness do I need more
is it yours or is it mine?
I know now, its an even score
your happiness creates mine with time
my worries and pains are beginning to heal
I can see that you want them to
it is your hazardous soul that makes me feel
all of our dreams are sure to come true
