Long Lost Lover

Alone I am not,
He is here at my side.
But a night hasn't passed,
That I haven't cried.

Once upon a time,
The love was electric.
But some where along the way,
We began to neglect it.

I know I don't love him,
I haven't in years.
Yet it is for another,
That I shed my tears.

It seems a lifetime ago,
That I gave him my heart.
And I haven't had it back,
Since we've been apart.

I've tried to find love,
In the arms of another,
But he will never compare,
To my long lost lover.
