Except Me as I am

by Stephenie   Jan 23, 2007

Except me as I stand still,
waiting to be free.
Glance at me as if I'm not near,
just letting me be.

Alone like night in this dark side,
wanting to be free.
Wanting light in which I collide,
dark is all I see.

The door slammed open and it tore,
to which I am free.
I shall not want anything more,
then to just be me.

Judge by saying I'm not like you,
and though I am free.
I just want to be like you too,
you owe me a fee.

Now that you except my staying,
I'm honestly free.
I will always have this feeling,
"not and enemy".
