Loneliness

Loneliness
9/25/06

It can get to the best of us.
Its that feeling of rejection,
And of being unloved,
Without being neither rejected nor unloved.
Its the feeling of loneliness.
It can make you cry countless numbers of tears.
It kills people, both the weak and the strong.
It consumes you, like an ever-lurking beast.
It makes you sick and queasy.
Loneliness...its a disease.
It haunts you while youre sleeping.
It winds around your heart and beings to squeeze.
It takes youre body and destroys it beyond all reason.
It sits on a table like a knife, forever calling your name.
It kills and destroys... its loneliness.
We question if its a sin.
It makes us wonder if we're weak,
Or if we're sane at all.
It makes us feel as if living is an impossibility
--Its loneliness.
Its that feeling that keeps you awake at night.
It weakens the faith of even the strongest warriors.
It steals lives, emotionally and physically.
And it...It is unfortunately all too common.
It is loneliness.
