You say you want to talk right now
that all you need is a friend
so, why when I was there for you
did you bring it to an end?

Some how you were deeply hurt
and I don't know what to say
all you need is time to heal
so I let you have the day

A wolf at night hunting his prey
is what you have become
you've turned you back on all you know
to everyone you seem numb

A wolf is what you love the most
much more than any being
but how can you love so much
this creature you are seeing?

It stands alone, yet hunts in groups
betraying all of its mates
it sits on hilltop howling songs
waiting for crossed fates

So remember these words
when you have turned your back
even the lonely wolf
has to travel in a pack
