Blind

That girl with the golden mind
The one with the plastic smile
The one in the crowd you can never find
You don't know who she really is

She's hidden behind those eyes
Those eyes deceive you, they seem so kind
But no, they're just good at telling lies.
Beyond the eyes, you cannot see.

She's the one who cries when no one's there.
The one who tries to convince herself
Most of that nobody will ever show they care
& that girl is right, but she's blind.

He's been standing there, watching her,
She's lost in the lie her parents once told,
It's not her fault that's all she knows.
Stuck in her corner, self pity & tears.

His calls are silenced,
That girl's just in denial.
But he waits patiently, for her to see
Tells himself, "Maybe she'll see me, for me..."

She's stuck in her colorless world,
Too blind to see him,
To listen for his calls,
To care for his name.

She's alone in her mind,
She's selfish and pitiful,
She cannot see him;
& he's gonna get tired of waiting.
