Waiting

by Lindsay   Jan 25, 2007

He asked me how much i loved him
i laughed at the question
unaware of the serious tone he used
He looked in my eyes pleading for an answer
I gazed into his blue eyes
deep as the depths of the ocean
god, he looked like he would die jus to hear my answer
My lips parted to speak
he focused on them
i closed my mouth
for any true answer i had would sufice his needs
disapointment flashed over his face
wanting to hear my voice so badly
He wanted to ask why i was taking so long
But i waited
He just sat there
protecting what little dignity he had left by looking away
he sat and stared at me
I started to laugh again
he looked at me with warm eyes
still thinking that i was cruel
I looked in his eyes and he questioned why i didnt answer
all i could say was\" my love for you is indescribable, its jus there, i cant begin to tell you how deep it runs in me\"
He took a minute to think about my words
all he could do was hold me
we stood there for 5 minutes embracing
unaware of time
he left that night satisfied with my words
and me
i was jus satisfied to know he cared enough to wait to hear them
