You have been there

You've done so much
showed me the ways through life
we didn't meet long ago
but you helped me through right away

you really don't know what you mean to me
if i lost you i would be lost in fear
i am thankful everyday
to have such a friend like you

you told me a smile will due the trick
i told you I have tried and refused
but now i look at it
and i never tried hard at all

you always have that hug for me
when nothing seems right in life
theres not a day i look at you
and don't feel a smile come upon my face.

i have felt like giving up
but you told me to keep strong
i wanted to just end my life
but you told me that wouldn't solve anything.

you have been there when no one ever was
you have showed me so much in life
and i just wanted to thank you
for being such a good friend.
