Falling back into heaven.

by Alissa   Jan 28, 2007

She sits on the highest clouds,
looking down in sorrow.
Wondering if this is right,
lost in heavens of light.

Scanning the world below,
of pure hatred and pain.
People always calling for a hero,
yet impossible for her to have one.

Split and torn by the sharpest knife,
sliding painfully down her heart.
Forever trembling in pain,
forever wishing for no more.

She looks at the wings she had,
eyes full of pain.
Turning the pure white,
into deep black.

Quickly she rips each feather off,
blood spills with each.
Dying faster even more,
for and angel needs it's wings.

She imagines the love she felt,
soon coming back with a rush.
Remembering the song,
song that lights the stars.

She keeps pulling but more grow,
she screams in frustration.
She wants it over,
but they just keep growing.

She falls down the cloud,
she feels the wind against her face,
her eyes clear and sees the light.
Falling up into the sky.

The song of light comes back,
the love of life comes back.
She remembers,
falling back into heaven.
