Dry Up (I)

by Blackthistle   Jan 28, 2007

This is about optimistic and pessimistic. Black represents darkness and anger and white represents joy and happiness.. This is NOT a racist poem like someone has emailed me saying it was.

Another day, the morning after. A war between the black and white. Want to chill? Want to fight?

You need to back off and watch. Maybe you'll be right, but maybe you'll botch. Want to see? Want to run?

Hello! My names Peter! There's nothing I like more than drinking and fighting. I don't mind. I'm with my own kind.

My name's Och. I don't drink when I'm sad or down. Instead I smoke weed and brown. It's not a big deal!

That's not the point! You're a sick freak! You smoke until you peak! You'll die that way! Then you'll really pay!

Oh, Peter. Don't be so dark. Now we're going down to the park. Are you joining us? Oh please don't cuss.

You little mock! I'm not in the black! What are you talking about? You're whack!

I'm afraid you are. You aren't in the white. You don't see the light. Just stand tall and watch.

I don't like you. I don't like your friends too! You guys are crack! You're all up on smack!

But when things go bad, which way will you choose? Will you walk into the white light or hide in the black shadows. Will you look forward to the day, or anger without your way?
