PRINCE CHARMING AND THE GLASS SLIPPER

by Jeff ROWE   Jan 28, 2007

In the land of opportunity
And romantic dreams
I am Prince Charming
Looking for a beautiful woman It seems
She is a woman of beauty so very rare
A lady of distinction with gorgeous soft auburn hair
As she walks you admire her because she has a lot of class
Wearing a white satin gown and sparkling slippers of glass.
Beautiful eyes, and lips of wine
Whose elegance and grace is so very fine.
A curvaceous figure so firm with good tone
She makes every man drool, regretfully, and deeply groan.
However, because I am Prince Charming
And in my hand is this slipper of glass
As I bring it to her
She says, You, for sure, more than pass
I am Cinderella
The special girl you are looking for
And you are with out a doubt that certain wonderful fella,
Romantic, wise, intelligent and so much more
Who brings to me the glass slipper I dropped and lost
And you spent all your precious time looking for me no matter the cost.
I bow to you and firmly say,
My fairest lady
I humbly beseech you,
Because I want to be honest and always true
I am not really Prince Charming
I am just a pauper and to you, this may be alarming
But you are so beautiful and I do have this slipper of yours
Now you can go dancing on all the world'S floors.
I will forever protect you and give you my committed devotion
And will always look forward to your love and every emotion.
Now these words may seem silly and corny, but they are not trite
And I promise you, I am not boring, and I will love you with all my might.
So, as with every fairy tale, you know how it ends
He gets the girl and happily ever after always depends
On how much we are willing to make the relationship succeed
And spend the time to get to know each other and all that we need;
So that our love will continually grow lastingly and deep
And that we may have much joy and laughter and no tears to weep.
So with this poem, I come before you
With a good attitude and not looking to lose;
I look forward to being the one you definitely choose.
Not giving me a good opportunity and a real chance
May be a mistake for wonderful love and true romance.
So why not give me a very real try
And hopefully this will be our first hello
And not our last goodbye.
