INDIGO

Indigo makes
a dye used by the ancients
creating color in the world
only one, but part of two
between violet and blue
never on the tip of the tounge
except to name a rainbow
once egyptian, indian,
prevalent around the world
now used in classrooms
to teach young children
Sixth in a rainbow
coloring the sky
