Just Because

She wakes up in the morning,
just because she has to.
She smiles and acts happy,
just because she's expected to.
She slices her scarred skin,
just because she wants to feel the pain.
She shows off her scars,
just because she wants someone to notice.
She makes up excuses,
just because she hates the truth.
She goes home,
just because she can't run away.
She watches her parents fight,
just because she's there.
She goes to sleep,
just because she never wants to wake up.

    Again, another amazing poem! i hope it's not about you though... that would make me cry...
    i like the "just because" thing here, some things remind me of me, which isn't the best thing ever... but this is really great, b/c you just made me realize how i am, and i didn't even realize it, thank you so much!
    i would give this a 10 if i could... but it only goes up to 5... great job!
