A Deadly Breakup

by Romancing the Darker Side   Jan 30, 2007

Growing angry,
lost,
hopeless,
as she reaches for someone,
anyone,
him.

He had to leave her,
now she's almost gone.
Feeling worthless,
depressed,
sad.

The pills have been swallowed,
the wrists slit.
The damage cannot be undone.

As he arrives at her funeral,
he is not saddened.
"She has brought it upon herself,"
he chimes in.
He looks happy,
delighted,
ecstatic.

She withers in her coffin,
and friends and family screech,
they know if it weren't for him,
she would still be here.
