Walkin' within' my shoes

by Dixie   Jan 30, 2007

Though you look at me with pity and disgust,
I looked to you for support and for trust.
When you look into my eyes you see nothing.
You care for only yourself and material things.
You think this is just a game?
For fun, I would endure this shame?
Maybe you would believe its all true,
If one day you walked in my shoes.

To know that you can’t care for yourself,
All your hopes and dreams back on the shelf.
That this is all your life will be,
And that you'll never truly be free.
Go to doctor after doctor and see how it feels
"Oh, you can sleep, just choke down some pills!"
So thanks for all your care and your concern...
Maybe you will understand once you walked in my shoes

And you find out that there is nothing that you can do
nothing that can stop you from being the way you are
nothing
no drugs, alcohol
they only make this situation worse
no nothing can make it better
trust me, i'I'veried!

So walk in my shoes for one day and see how it feels
see how it feels to know that you can't control your self,
your actions, attitude and such.
you won't like it
belive me,i know
I've walked in my shoe.
